started designing and testing prototype mechanical broadheads way
back in the early 1980s. It took several years before we were satisfied
that we had designed a mechanical broadheads that was simple, durable,
and very efficient. Company President Dennis Ward was the principal
designer and tester of the original Vortex® mechanical broadhead.
It took a lot of 'trial and error' testing, and 'back to the drawing
board' sessions over about a three year period to come up with the
right design using the right materials. The end result was the basic
design for what is now simply the best line of mechanical broadheads
you can screw on the end of an arrow shaft.
